17 February 2012: Oxford Nanopore presents nanopore sequencing data and hardware at AGBT

Oxford Nanopore has published a press release in which they introduce their new DNA 'strand-sequencing' high-throughput platforms GridION and MinION.

At the Advances in Genome Biology and Technology conference, Marco Island, Florida, Oxford Nanopore presented the first DNA sequence data using nanopores to sequence reads of tens of thousands of nucleotides. The Company disclosed details about its GridION electronics platform upon which nanopore sequencing is conducted, and associated workflow and software features of the system.
