18-19 April 2012: ITFoM presented to Members of European Parliament in Strasbourg
On 18 and 19 April 2012, the ITFoM Platform leaders and additional delegates of ITFoM participated in a plenary session by the European Parliament.
17-20 April 2012: Triple Event of the year “From Population Health to Personal Health"
The Genome-based Research and Population Health International Network (GRaPH-Int), the European Science Foundation “Forward Look on Personalised Medicine for the European citizen” (ESF) and the Public Heath Genomics European Network (PHGEN) will hold three upcoming back-to-back conferences in association with the European Flagship Pilot for Future Emerging Technologies “IT Future of Medicine” (ITFoM) on 17-20 April 2012 at the Radisson Blue Hotel in Rome.
07 April 2012: "Jeder Patient soll als virtuelle Kopie erfasst werden" - Broadcast in the Swiss radio DRS
Following a presentation of the project in Bern, Switzerland, the Swiss radio DRS have broadcasted an introduction of ITFoM with interviews with Prof. Hans Lehrach (Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics) and Prof. Denis Hochstrasser (Geneva University).
04 April 2012: 'Vision vom virtuellen Patienten' in the German "Souverän" magazine
As a follow-up to the recent essay competition from the German Federal Ministry of Eduaction and Research, "Health 2050", where Dr. Alexander Kühn from Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics won the 1st price, the German "Souverän"-magazine has published an article about the Virtual Patient vision within ITFoM.

Following the "Big Six - Spotlight on the EU-Flaghsip-Initiative - Medicine in the 21st century: IT as a magic bullet?"-event in Bern, Switzerland, LeTemps.ch published an article about the ITFoM-project and the outcomes of the presentations.
